Well done to all the competitors who took part in our hunter trial, and a huge 'thank you' to everyone who helped in any way. It would be impossible to run the competition without so many volunteers and all the help was very much appreciated.
Ground conditions were a bit soft in places due to the recent weather, but the new layout proved very popular with both competitors and spectators. As well as the seasoned competitors, lots of less experienced combinations enjoyed the day and were able to take advantage of the 'L' options at some of the fences.
The 3' and 2'6" classes were qualifiers for the Knockhill Horse Power/BHS Scotland Cross Country Series 2012, so good luck to those going through to that competition.

We've recently launched a new gallery on our web site so that you can perhaps see yourselves in action! If you click on the 'gallery' tab you'll see a range of photographs from different events here at Kinnaird plus information on who took the photographs and how you can get hold of them.
As you'll see, Bob Mather took some lovely photographs at our most recent hunter trial. You can see some of them here now and you'll find even more on his own web site www.EventPhotographyScotland.co.uk.
We've certainly found that enlarged framed photographs of us jumping at Kinnaird make great Christmas presents for Grannies and Grandpas not to mention all he others in the family too! You can order enlargements from both Bob Mather's web site and from Jim Crichton (www.jimcrichton.com) - another well known photographer who also comes to Kinnaird.
Talking of presents, Christmas or otherwise - we are available to hire for riding club and pony club lessons or events, camps and birthday parties, as well as just general practice and fun sessions - either early next spring or when ever the weather picks up again and the course is fit to jump. We're happy to organise gift vouchers if you're interested in this idea. Just contact Lesley.
Thank you to everyone who has visited Kinnaird throughout the season, and we do hope to see lots of you again next year.
North East Fife Riding Club's One Day Event in July had a record number of entries. Despite the poor weather in the run-up to the competition we were lucky on the day with the whole event running very smoothly. Well done to everyone who took part and many thanks to all the helpers. We hope everyone enjoyed the day.
Jim Crichton took some lovely photos which are available to purchase and they can be viewed at www.jimcrichton.com

Over the summer, our cabin which we opened at the beginning of the season has been a great success! With its own sitting room, basic kitchen plus a basic tuck shop it has added a further dimension to our facilities at Kinnaird. If you want to provide instructors' lunches, wait for your friends or just relax and eat your picnic after you have ridden you're very welcome to use this facility. It's also proving great for groups of friends or Clubs coming for a camp or short break with their horses. If you're interested in using our cabin do get in touch for more details and to arrange a fun stay.
Le Trec and The Dairsie Dash have both featured on Kinnaird's annual programme and show just how versatile Kinnaird is when it comes to providing a whole range of fun experiences. Keep in touch with our web site to see what else is on our future agenda and if you have any ideas of future events that you would like to suggest we hold here, either for yourself, your friends, your pony club etc., do get in touch with Lesley and we'll see what we can do.
We get regular enquiries about schooling nights/fun pick-a-fence nights and try to accommodate everyone's requests. Don't forget if you want to come along on your own but would like your horse to have company going round just ask. We can almost certainly arrange something.
